The indica/sativa classification is a botanical distinction based on plant structure, not a reliable predictor of effects. Research published in Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research found that consumers could not reliably distinguish indica from sativa effects in blind trials. Terpene profiles are more accurate predictors: myrcene-dominant strains (often labeled indica) tend toward sedation, while limonene-dominant strains (often labeled sativa) correlate with energy and mood elevation. When ordering descanso weed through our service, ask about terpene content rather than relying solely on subspecies labels.

Yes, every product listed on our website includes a link to its Certificate of Analysis (COA) from a California-accredited third-party laboratory. COAs display cannabinoid potency (THC, CBD, CBN, CBG), terpene profile with individual terpene percentages, pesticide screening results, heavy metals testing, and water activity measurements. You can review these lab results before adding any product to your cart, and our customer service team can explain any testing metrics you're unfamiliar with.

Edible onset time ranges from 45 to 120 minutes depending on individual metabolism, stomach contents, and liver enzyme activity. The hepatic first-pass metabolism that converts delta-9 THC to 11-hydroxy-THC — a more potent, longer-lasting compound — takes time to complete, which is why edibles feel qualitatively different from inhaled cannabis. Wait a minimum of 90 minutes before reassessing effects or considering an additional dose. Overconsumption due to early redosing is the most common cause of adverse experiences with edibles.

First-time cannabis users ordering from SeaWeed Delivery should start with low-dose products: 5mg THC edibles, or flower strains with balanced THC:CBD ratios like 10% THC / 10% CBD. Our customer service team can recommend specific products based on your desired experience (relaxation, pain relief, sleep support, or social energy) and explain onset times, duration, and titration strategies. For inhaled cannabis, effects begin in 2-10 minutes, allowing you to assess tolerance incrementally. For edibles, wait 90 minutes minimum before reassessing.

California law permits adults 21+ to purchase up to 28.5 grams (approximately 1 ounce) of cannabis flower and 8 grams of cannabis concentrate per transaction. These limits apply to recreational customers; medical cannabis patients with a valid California Medical Cannabis Registry card may purchase larger quantities. All purchases are tracked through California's METRC seed-to-sale system to ensure compliance with state possession and purchase limits.
